The BMW E30 M3 was first introduced in 1985 as a high-performance version of the BMW 3 Series. The car was designed to compete in the Deutsche Tourenwagen Meisterschaft (DTM) and Group A racing, which required manufacturers to produce at least 5,000 road-going versions of their race cars in order to be eligible to compete.
The E30 M3 was powered by a 2.3-liter four-cylinder BMW S14 engine rated at about 192 horsepower (197 horsepower without a catalytic converter), with 170 lb-ft of torque and a 7,250 rpm redline. The engine was based on the M10 engine (found in the BMW 2002) and the S38 engine (found in the E24 M6 and E28 M5), but it was heavily modified with a DOHC head, four valves per cylinder, and a high compression ratio of 10.5:1.
The E30 M3 delivers a seamless power transfer from its legendary 2.3-liter S14 engine to the rear wheels through its Getrag 5-speed manual gearbox. This transmission, celebrated for its precision and tactile feel, enhances the driving experience, allowing drivers to effortlessly navigate through the gears with a sense of connectedness to the road. The E30 M3’s transmission plays a pivotal role in harnessing its horsepower and ensuring a harmonious blend of power and agility that has solidified its status as an automotive legend.
The BMW E30 M3’s success on the track helped to establish its reputation as a high-performance icon, especially in touring car racing. The car’s handling and balance were unmatched, and it quickly became a favorite among drivers and enthusiasts alike. The E30 M3 defeated the competition at the 24 Hours Nürburgring five times and the Spa 24 Hours four times, often pitted against vehicles with larger or turbocharged engines.
This particular final production year E30 M3 is a California car that was originally sold by BMW of Sherman Oaks, CA...about 20 years later, it became a part of Paul Walker's personal collection in Southern California. This Brilliant Red/Tan E30 M3 appears to have spent it's entire life in a time capsule, and currently has only 13k original miles. Tasteful modifications, include Euro “smiley” headlights, M Tech 2 steering wheel, and 16" BBS "Evolution" rims (all original parts remain with the car). This #1 condition E30 M3 recently received all time based services at Canepa Motorsports in Scotts Valley, CA, where it has been meticulously maintained by Bruce Canepa's team since 2020. It has livedd in a garage since day one, untouched by snow, salt, or UV damage. The exterior paint has an amazing finish showing no significant blemishes or imperfections. The body panels are original with all numbers-matching VIN tags intact. The interior is incredibly well-preserved with supple leather, flawless seat bolsters, clean carpets, and a pristine, crack-free dash. 100% rust free body and undercarriage that still retains the original amber-colored cosmolene. This car is the definition of a three pedal legend.

It’s usually the E30 BMW M3 that gets all the love, followed by the high-strung E46 M3. What about the E36, though? In reality, it was the car that bridged those two legends, and for some good reasons. E36 brought M as a brand to the masses. Sure, there were previous M cars stemming from the 1970s with the legendary M1 supercar, and the E30 M3, a true homologation special, but the E36 arguably arrives in a time with less grandeur where racing homologation wasn’t as important to manufacturers. This doesn’t mean the M3 had an easy life moving forward. E36 held the weight of the world on its shoulders as it was aimed at a much broader audience. It didn’t have to answer to the singular task of racing, it had to do that, and so much more. It had to be a good road car.
A good road car it was, a great one, in fact. The M3 had a chance to play in a class above its predecessor. Its competitive spirit on the track against some heavy hitters translated well to the road where its buttery smooth straight-six engine was (and still is) praised for its linear power. Ultimately, the E36 ensured the M3’s success as a production road car, and for us enthusiasts, that’s about as important as it gets.
This particular "unicorn" NA spec E36 M3 was sourced from the Original Owner in 2020; it was originally sold by BMW of Philadelphia, spent it's entire life being pampered in a climate controlled garage, and is an absolute time capsule…it has been meticulously maintained, and only driven sparingly during warm/dry weekends. It now has 6k original miles, all service records since new, original key sets including valet key, and all original purchase documents. It most recently received all time based preservation services from Canepa Motorsports...with the only single modification from stock being an authentic OEM BMW M Tech 2 steering wheel upgrade, also installed by Canepa Motorsports (original steering wheel stored/preserved). It is rumored that this is the lowest mile and best preserved, original bone stock NA spec E36 M3 on the planet...it's truly a three pedal legend!

The beating heart of the E46 M3 is the 3.2 liter S50 straight six which was an evolution of the engine used in the E36. This S50 is very peaky and loves to be revved out, with peak power at its 7,900 RPM redline (which sounds absolutely glorious at its peak!). The E46 M3 was the first M3 in America to come exactly as BMW intended, NOT watered down compared to it's European counterparts. Many say the E46 platform is the pinnacle of the M3 generations.
But, the engine isn't the only thing that makes the E46 M3 special. This car also looks amazing, inside and out. The exterior design is timeless and aggressive, with swept-back headlights and quad exhaust tips that let everyone know this isn't your average sedan. And, the interior is just as stylish, with comfortable leather seats and an intuitive layout that makes every ride feel like a luxurious experience. Despite being nearly 20 years old, the E46 M3 still holds up today, thanks to its timeless design and performance pedigree. On the road today, it remains an absolute head-turner, and the sound of that inline-six engine is music to an ear.
This particular E46 is the unicorn of E46 unicorns. Sourced from the original owner, it has 3 pedals, factory sunroof delete, Laguna Seca Blue, 100% original condition, bone stock, with 13k original miles. Subframe is exactly as it left the factory...rod bearing recall was complete by BMW back in 2006...and VANOS system has been thoroughly inspected and passes with flying colors. Condition wise, it appears to have spent it's entire life in a bubble...and thanks to meticulous ownership and service history since new, it drives exactly as it did back in 2002. This E46 M3 is truly a three pedal legend!

The E28 was the first generation M5. To create this masterpiece of German Engineering, BMW engineers essentially took the straight-six cylinder, 3.5-litre M88 engine from the M1 sports car – the one that formed the basis of the memorable Procar Championship – added Bosch Motronic fuel injection to create more power than a Ferrari 328 at the time...and dropped it within the handsome 5-series saloon that had been designed with a perfect measure of restraint by BMW’s Claus Luthe.
Under the hood, the BMW M5 E28 packs a powerful punch with a 3.5-liter engine size that boasts 286 horsepower and 340 Newton-meters of torque. This car can reach a top speed of 245 km/h or 152.24 mph, and it can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.5 seconds or 0 to 60 mph in 6.2 seconds. Thus, it’s definitely a no-brainer that it was labeled as the fastest four-door sports sedan in the world. And today, it’s considered the car that represents the very foundation of sports sedans around the world.
Despite its low-key appearance, the car was a thoroughbred under the hood: The M88/3 engine was notable for having a crossflow, light-alloy cylinder head, two overhead camshafts, and four valves per cylinder. Central spark plugs and digital electronics were also included in this design, along with individual throttle valves.
The BMW E28 M5 was so successful that the M5 model line is still being continued to this day. With each new model, the performance benchmark increases. Newer models are capable of reaching up to 600 horsepower — over double the peak numbers of the original E28 M5 model.
This particular E28 M5 was sourced directly from the EAG private collection, this is an Original Owner, 100% original, bone stock, with ~9k original miles. This car is truly the holy grail of the E28 platform...it is rightfully rumored to be the lowest mile, and most well preserved E28 M5 on the planet. It is an absolute three pedal legend!

This hand-built E34 M5 was produced during the final year of North American Production and is 1 of only 261 examples built during 1993! Further, Mugello Red was only available during this final year of North American production and is the same color code selected for the "20-Jahre" edition Euro M5s built which commemorate 20 years of BMW Motorsport. Only twenty "20-Jahre" E34 M5s were produced for the European market in October of 1992; this particular September 1992 production M5 was configured in-period and clearly pays homage to the special Euro edition E34 M5. Euro Updates for the 1993 North American model year M5 include: M System II "Throwing Star" wheels, M-Technic side rear-view mirrors, Shadowline exterior trim, "BMW Motorsport" exterior front door handles, Birds-eye maple interior wood trim, M tri-color stitched steering wheel and exclusive Mugello Red exterior paint. Period-Correct DINAN Upgrades include: Dinan Stage 3 Suspension including performance springs, sport dampers, camber plates, front strut tower brace, intake + exhaust cam gears and Dinan engine performance chip (all stock parts included). Additional Aesthetic Updates include Euro Staggered Throwing Star Wheels and BMW Motorsport Red Seat Belts. The condition of this special car is nothing short of exceptional. Always cared for as a collector car with no expense spared throughout the cars life! The service binder retains 24 documented engine oil services and several maintenance inspections. This example has significant provenance including all keys, fobs, books, manuals and 4-inch thick 3-ring binder of service records going back to new in 1993. Speaking of impressive mechanical condition; the compression test results on all six cylinders are within 1% variance across all cylinders which is nearly unheard of....end of day, this Mugello Red over Black Nappa Leather E34 M5 is an absolutely remarkable, fully documented, Investment-Grade, Three Pedal Legend!
In many respects, the E39 was evolutionary, from its under-the-radar styling inside and out, to its use of a six-speed manual transmission and mechanical limited-slip differential. In many respects, the E39 was evolutionary, from its under-the-radar styling inside and out, to its use of a six-speed manual transmission and mechanical limited-slip differential. Like its predecessor (the 2nd generation E34), the E39 M5 used MacPherson struts up front, now with lighter aluminum control arms, but at the rear was a multi-link set-up, replacing the traditional BMW trailing arm arrangement and giving the E39 a fighting chance of controlling its extra power and torque
At nearly five liters, however, the main benefit was torque. Peak power came 300rpm sooner than with the ‘six’, but the V8’s 369lb ft was a considerable increase, and it came in nearly 1000rpm earlier than the E34’s 295lb ft. The engine would fight an overall curb weight gain of 70kg but still deliver a 0-62mph time of 5.3sec, half a second ahead of its predecessor.
Twist the key and the car rocks as eight cylinders cascade into life. It’s the first sign and a rare glimpse of what lies beneath its steely exterior, like the CEO of a multinational playfully nudging a filing cabinet shut with their hips. Then the V8 just hums, becoming a rumble as the slightly rubbery shifter is gently persuaded into first and we pull away, then morphing into a distant growl as we join the flow of traffic. All that separates these distinct but muted stages are the smallest of throttle movements. Mooching around, the 4.9-litre responds like something with a tenth of its capacity, but it does so proportionally to your right foot, rather than jumping forward on some all-or-nothing throttle map.
